Sometimes I choose to structure my art process in the form of an inventory or archive, a series of individual works all in the same format and categorised together. By studying a place or objects intensively it becomes familiar and known.

 

Through this I would describe myself as a documentary artist, photographing, recording, mapping, listing. The process of research and collating is as important as the final work. How I perceive people interact with place and the signifiers they attach to to make it their own.
