Gardening has always been important to me. Coming from a family of keen gardeners growing up it was a way of communication.

From a small herb plot in our family’s garden to my own garden and an allotment. With other gardens in between, pots on a balcony, a concreted yard, suburban with a lawn, farmed field. 

I enjoy the meditative nature of repeated tasks, forgetting oneself in the rhythm. I have often used plants in my work for example making natural dyes and inks. For me gardening is like a drawing practice or playing scales on a musical instrument.
